I'm Kevin Altman, co-founder at Armiger Gameworks and a hands-on systems
engineer with over 20 years in the industry. My career has evolved from
creative roles through various engineering positions to where I am
now—building large-scale distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
Most recently at cars.com, I led the technical replatforming of 20 years
of legacy technology—a mashup of Java, Python, Node, and more—to Elixir
in 2.5 years.
These days I'm focused on Rust, building performant and reliable
systems. As a polyglot engineer, I easily switch between tech stacks and
languages—bringing extensive talent and a lifetime of story telling to
solving complex technical challenges. Whether it's transforming legacy
systems, architecting distributed platforms, or building cloud
infrastructure, I focus on engineering solutions that work.
